BALLET 

Dancers improve their understanding of the art of Ballet and its execution, working through more advanced choreography as they learn. As classes progress, students will be introduced to different types of barre exercises, petite and grand allegro, pirouettes, and adagio. French terminology is used in class. This class will perform one dance in our annual recital.

JAZZ/TAP 

Students create syncopated rhythms with the use of Tap shoes, learning new combinations and steps and improving musicality. Jazz classes include stretching, strengthening, isolations, leaps, turns, and footwork with high-energy choreography and music.

LYRICAL

This class combines techniques of Ballet, Modern, and Jazz with an emphasis on communicating emotion through movement and expressing the lyrics and mood of the music. This class will perform one dance in our annual recital.

HIP HOP 

Dancers replicate a style of street dance with movements including fundamentals of popping, locking, and freezing. This is an upbeat dance class that uses popular, fun music. This class will perform one dance in our annual recital.

MUSICAL THEATRE

This class studies the classic Broadway style of dance, combining acting and movement. An ideal class for anyone interested in the performing arts seeking to sharpen dance skills. This class will perform one dance in our annual recital.

CONTEMPORARY

In this combination-based class, dancers focus on transitioning and different qualities of movement, and are introduced to improv. This class will perform one dance in our annual recital.
